In that case you can still mount them under the hull, instead of the axels passing through the hull make a frame for the underside which would support the pivot point, same set up, just under the hull. I cant see torsion bars working if the are not inline with the pivot point. Chris. b On Apr 4,

for those with 1/4" torsion bars, how did you mount the torsion bars to the underside of the tank but allow them to pivot freely on the one end? I think i'm going to have the guy around the corner wield small 1/8" flat stock to the sides of the one end with holes in them, this way i can bolt

Your right,I'm embarased to say. I drew up a few plans to Tigers, Abrams, C-60s ., all at 3 ft. Some came out close to 1:8 scale, but the Sherman did end up closer to 1:6. Next time I won't post facts when I'm half asleep. And thanks for the web site, Derek. I'm sure I can find something useful
