Finally got home to see the pictures. Now I remember your build. I have all
the pictures on the computer hard drive and used them as references for
planning my build. :)
You Strv is more scale with the hatches and lowered driver/radioman area. I
went simple to keep the build easy and quic
bending and twisting are 2 very different beasts, twisting due to
motor torque is pretty tricky, you are likely to slip a belt or break
a chain before twisting a steel shaft (1/2"-5/8"), bending on the
other hand is relatively easy, basically you want to try and keep the
shaft supported all the way
Looks like the first patent they have ever received they still
feel the need to say it 4 times a sentence...

What diameter is your drive shaft? How powerful are your motors?
Twisting, say, a 12mm (1/2") bar would take some serious torque.

Well I won't need this question answered for today but by Friday To prevent
twisting of my output shaft should I connect it to the inside of my drive
wheel? What I'm trying to say is that I will run the smooth rod all the way
through the drive wheel... I'll just connect one side of the wheel
Thanks. Just ordered it.

Herm ! I like it, a wire connected to the trigger that opens a space
for a pb to fall through then down a marble run that takes a few
seconds to fall into the marker.

Looking good so far Pete , these things take time, Im not sure how you
intend to get power to the tracks, take a look at my Marder T078, the
wedge track guides work much better than bolts.

T080 is 1/6 scale which makes it 30.5" long and about 14.75" wide. It is about
58 lbs (or a little over 4 stones).

Great job, looks sweet. B

Love your work
I started to build the S Tank myself, but a couple of house moves ended up
breaking my hull. Looking at your method of elevation was very much along the
same method as mine
Here is the link to my build. http://www.angelfire.com/mech/sherman/strv.html
