Preliminary status is that I'm still building out my new shop so no actual
construction yet. But CAD work has begun on a new design and parts
procurement is underway. I'm thinking a laser cut kit for the major
assemblies.
For a name? How about Project EXTREME!

No, I haven't played with the Gryphon. It just looked like a good entry
level marker from an established manufacturer. Also, I've always like the
single tube designs due to their compact size.
Picked a tank yet for your next project?

It does look like it would work well for us. It's plastic, right ? Easy to
cut. I prefer electronic markers because they've already integrated the
firing solenoid, but the Gryphon seems to have a good place to hook in an
external one.

I went to my local paintball / surplus shop. They had used tippmans for $25.
They were used as rentals so they had cosmetic damage but they work good.
