honestly i don't see why there should be any talk of auto track as it takes
that much more "thought" out of the game, that doesn't even allow for "aim
and click", it'll just be "click" other than driving the tank/vehicle
around

What I was suggesting was holding fire if a friendly was within the target
area. Doesn't solve the people problem though.

Also im not sure the heat signature from a tank will be all that large;
most of the hot bits are inside, and wood isnt a good thermal conductor.

motor heat and the sun. So all you need to do to get a tank to shoot
another one automatically is to put a thermal camera on there, and use the
Open-source Sentry Gun softwar

Unlike most R/C models, R/C tanks get really really dirty. Here's one of
the suspension arm bearings after eight years of use. It still sorta
worked in that it turns somewhat in the limited arc that the suspension
