Yah, theres a slot for the rubber pad. I am thinking it would be
easy to scrape the rubber off, if it wasnt in a slot.
There is 12 different operations to make a single track segment, 320
track segments times 12 operations = 3840 individual operations.

Drilling deep holes requires that the work be exactly aligned
parallel to the drill.
I am drilling with my Mill/Drill, and the vise is indicated in within .
001" / 6 inches, of parallel.
You also gotta use a good (new) drill. Also, it is good practice to

Here are my Solidworks track drawings.
The pins are .1875 diameter stainless steel.
The dark pads are rubber, glued into a 1/2 inch slot, cut into the
aluminum track segment.
The SS rods and the aluminum drive lugs will be pinned using SS roll
pins (not shown).

About 2 miles from my home, they have an M60 tank on display, in a
park.
I went down to look at the tracks a few days ago.
It looks like they would be something I could build in my basement
machine shop.
Also, at work they gave me a few hours of Solidworks (a 3d drawing
computer program) training.

Videos of the new M1A1 shooting paintballs.
It has a tube magazine, with an air blast paintball feed assist.
You can see some of the shots break in the barrel.
Its because of very poor quality, mis-shaped paintballs.
I have shot 160 paintballs (4 magazines full) and the feed system is
very reliable

Got gun elevation done.
Got the magazine air assist and trigger sequencing automated.
(you command a paintball to fire and it pulls the trigger then blasts
air down the magazine to feed the next ball.)
