I have trial fitted the rear axles and, although I still need to turn
up some small bushes before I'll be happy with the final result, it
does give a reasonable idea of how it all works.

The axles are from a rock crawler and have the moters and gearboxes
built in  - a sort of rigid transaxle.

You can see how the rear axles are each suspended on centre-pivot
paired leaf-springs.

Suspension travel is adequate but the pivotting bogie and the twin
springs make for a fairly supple suspension.
