What diameter is your drive shaft? How powerful are your motors? Twisting, say, a 12mm (1/2) bar would take some serious torque. On Oct 19, 6:47 pm, Ryan W. rpw...@hotmail.com wrote: Well I won't need this question answered for today but by Friday To prevent twisting of my output shaft

Well I was wondering if the shaft would bend? Ryan w. On Oct 19, 2011, at 3:22 PM, Chairman Miaow pureteenl...@hotmail.com wrote: What diameter is your drive shaft? How powerful are your motors? Twisting, say, a 12mm (1/2) bar would take some serious torque. On Oct 19, 6:47 pm, Ryan W.

bending and twisting are 2 very different beasts, twisting due to motor torque is pretty tricky, you are likely to slip a belt or break a chain before twisting a steel shaft (1/2-5/8), bending on the other hand is relatively easy, basically you want to try and keep the shaft supported all the way
