I got the book and read it. The design is pretty simple and I think would be
effective for one offs. It seemed a bit too tedious and involved to make
something like tracks or wheels. And I don't know how easily it would work
for something with a large area.

The rough parts was cut using a roto zip w/ circle cutting tool. I
then borrowed a lathe
that looks like a lot of work just to make one wheel (considering the
cleaning and final shaping of the wheel, not including time spent, cooking pot
and
electric/gas to heat up the plastic brew).
