One problem with backups of stuff that is rapidly in flux (eg. email)
is getting the stuff to be backed up to stay still while it is backed
up. :-) Otherwise rdiff-backup may fail, or at best will not make a
perfect backup.

seems like i figured out all the details for making a release.
except i don't run redhat/fedora anywhere, so i didn't make an rpm.
instead i placed the spec files into the release tarball, so folks can
build their own.
