Hope this helps,

Dear list,
I use rdiff-backup to do automated backups on my server. I backup /, but I
exclude everything and only include what I need. E.g. I use the following call
rdiff-backup --include-globbing-filelist /etc/backup.include \
--exclude / \
/ /backup/data
t it to work. My automated backup was broken after migrating my server from
Gentoo to Devuan, and I didn't notice this at once -- so I was a bit uneasy

Hi all,
I've been using rdiff-backup without any problem now for years, but now
I have one: I'm about to migrate a small server from Gentoo to Devuan. I
got most of my stuff working, but my automated backup to an NFS share
doesn't work. Rdiff-backup crashes.
I can't even backup a single file
Hi Otto!
Just to mention this: You could add Gentoo to the "Linux" part of "Installing"
with "emerge rdiff-backup". Now that the project is going on, most probably it
also won't disappear from Gentoo. I'll also glady inform the Gentoo guys about
the new maintainership (and hopefully a new release
Hi,
I've been an rdiff-backup user for years now (I'm not so fit with Python, so I
think this project is a bit above my skills when it comes to development ...),
and I also use it in a productive enviroment. I really like it. It's exactly
what I need. And I would really appreciate it not to be aba

Of course! And speaking of me, I don't ... I was just thinking about the whole
situation.

I like Python. And I like rdiff-backup. But perhaps, some skilled programmer
has the energy to take the "chance" of the questionable state of rdiff-backup
by only continuing the concept of rdiff-backup and

Meanwhile, it's back in Gentoo. Probably too many people complained about
rdiff-backup being gone. I'm a Gentoo user and I was
Hello list!
Gentoo Linux has masked rdiff-backup:
