Hi Peter,
What I'm curious about is at what voltage does this occur. 48, 160???
I have 3 in series on a ungrounded system for 2 years now and are
working just fine. Output is what is should be and no problems.
I know that Sunpower has a white paper that shows at lower voltages
there is
No, this is a 4.5 kW, grid tied, PV only system.

We found one of these recently it turned out to be a loose fuseholder for
the GFDI fuse in the inverter.
Slightly pinching the holder arms cured it.
Might be worth a try?

Greetings wrenches,
This is my first post. I ran into this with an SB3000 back in June. I called
SMA tech support and spoke to Jake, who was familiar with the problem. His
explanation was that there was a series of boards that got some excess
lacquer sprayed on them at the factory. This lacquer
Anybody out there familiar with the Advanced Energy Inc. grid-tie inverter?
I was called to a school with an existing defunct pole-mounted 1 kW array and high up on the pole was an inverter made by these guys. I could not get access to the unit as I was only checking for what was there now, but
Jeff,
I am not sure of the input Voltage characteristics of the AEI GC-1000, but I
know that PV Powered has a new 1000 Watt inverter that is a 120 Vac output.
They also have a variation of this model that is called the EVR or Expanded
Voltage Range, which has a much wider Voltage window. It
Hi All,
I want to thank everyone about all the great info on the Evergreen.
The system is in Suriname, South America.
Its a telecom site which was contracted out and although
there are no problems yet, when we found the melted junction boxes,
well the emails started then.
Thanks again its
Only too familiar with them Jeff...
48 VDC, 120 VAC output. You may be able to field repair it (?). in the lowwer
section (string combiner/disco), above the input fuses there should be a master
fuse... the fuse doesnt fail but the fuse holder fails... if thats it your back
