Hi Mark, I had mis read an old chart, the voltage did get above 60 though (below 30 degrees) as that was what our hi-bat cut out was set for (have increased). You are correct on the voltage. My problem is now solved thanks to Charles at Xantrex Tech support. Very helpful. It did not go back to gri

[RE-wrenches] Request for Enphase inverter comments

Enphase apparently has a 15 year warranty as of 2 weeks ago (see below). A while back I attended a presentation on the Enphase inverters - they claim a 119+ year MTBF. During a break I asked why their warranty was only 10 years. The guy I was talking with, who is in marketing, said he wanted a l

Wrenches, I will let the Enphase inverter rep, Marv, answer any questions about future higher watt rated inverter generations, but we had first had experience installing a beta test of eight 200W enphase inverters HIP-200BA3 modules on a former installation of 16 modules on a Fronius IG3000 inver

I appreciate that the Enphase is a ground breaking new product. I am not antagonist on principle. It appears that the warranty has been extended to 15 year from the initial 10 year offering. This is good. But, we are talking about two very different long term service models. Single large invert

Jeff, I agree with you about most arrays being too small to sufficiently overcome internal resistance and get voltage high enough to effectively equalize. I won't advise either (early or late) approach to running the generator. Most homeowners won't understand the variables and subtlety involved in

Hi Mark; I appreciate your concern with replacing a faulty inverter: definitely sounds troublesome, about as much work as replacing a faulty module. But consider this: An Enphase inverter failure will only diminish the total system performance by one panel, the rest of the modules will st
