not exactly shoes, but we use sheets of the egg crate type foam for work space on up to 12/12 roofs. I do mostly hot water work, and that requires having more things handy (torch, flux, solder, cutter, reamer, etc ) than will fit easily in a tool belt. it allows us to set little things down
