As far as I know, there's never been a "Pulse Authorized Service Center"
because once installed, a powercenter is never removed. Pulse is long gone
(Ananda > APT > Pulse > Connect Energy > can't remember now.)
On a number of earlier powercenters, we bypassed the charge controller and
added a

You definitely need the dedicated branch circuit protection. Beyond
that, it's up to your local AHJ. Same for the labeling. Of course, NEC
690.54 and 690.56B do require a label at the point of interconnection.

I have seen this type of problem before - but it was with Kohler
generators and the old SW series. They use a voltage regulation system
which actually increases the AC output voltage along with the AC load
level - they call it "power boost" and it is intended to offset the
voltage
