[RE-wrenches] Enphase installation details

Colleagues: We are in the middle of our first Enphase installation. I have been working closely with the crew on this project and dedicated extra time because we knew we needed to develop some new procedures to accommodate the new technology. My most surprising realization is that with the

Ryan, If you haven't tried the Apollo Solar controller you might consider it. We have many installed and they seem, after an intially rough start, to be a superior product. I have yet to use the high voltage model but plan to at the first opportunity. You can configure the panels to 200 VDC OC.

I see Friday the 13th has arrived all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed one more time just like clockwork. But now it is wearing horns as well. That's some conundrum you present about keeping your competitive edge in a dicey business climate. What if you sold your wiring concept to Enphase on a

Hi fellow wrenches, We just inherited a two year old off grid system consisting of a separate home and a big shop/garage that has a mechanical room and battery room. The OBFW500 power center feeds a main/meter panel. The two Kohler generators (25kW LPG 60kW Diesel) feed a transfer switch that

Try 250.32. In this case, you consider that the panels at the home are not actually new service enterance equipment. The service is up at the shed and the home is part of two or more buildings supplied from a common service. Mark Frye Berkeley Solar Electric Systems 303 Redbud Way Nevada

Jim: We have spent considerable dollars pursuing patents pending and hope they provide future return. Our little wiring techniques are not unique enough to patent and if Enphase really cared, they could figure out better techniques to hold wires in place, but I do not belive that is their

Ryan If you can wait for the Morningstar MPPT 60 you should try to. It is outstanding, and the controllers have been shipped out for distribution so it is not vaporware. We have 3 of them running here for almost a year and the controller has slightly better output than the original MX60, so

William Some feedback: 1. The DC and AC wiring is generally under the modules and therefore protected. 2. Upon the wiring segueing out from under the modules- AC, you would switch to a JB and conduit. This can also be achieved prior to exiting below the modules. 3. www.schletter-inc.us and
