Is anyone selling the TBS meters at the moment? I have installed a bunch of the e meter/link 10 meters and have had good luck with them. It would be nice to have a source for the installs that don’t use the Magnum inverters and the BMK as a monitor. Thanks for the info, Bob From:

Jeff; Is this a belated April Fool's Joke? Or just an April Fool? That module shouldn't be used for anything over the voltage it was designed and intended for: 12 Volts! And it shouldn't be used on anything but a non-NEC automotive application. In this case, I'd consider tattling to the

Calling the old-timer off-grid 12V graybeard Wrenches... I am reposting this to the list in hopes of shakin' up a response, as nobody tried to answer my request for help. In short: in theory, if you force an array to operate at a voltage above its MPP, current drops off significantly on the

If the existing Solarex 77 modules are rewired six per series string, that's six modules X 36 cells = 216 cells per string. I suggest that you match that, with the new array strings also having 216 cells per string. Polycrystal might have a better chance of not exceeding the Solarex VmP by as

[RE-wrenches] kWh performance warranties (was volcanos)

kW and/or kWh performance warranties are what some customers want and are willing to pay for and what some PV companies provide successfully. Many wrenches guarantee their systems' DC and even AC nameplate rating. For several years PowerLight, now owned by SunPower, entered into kWh contracts

Mick, Years ago Ezra Auerbach told me about Solarex having made bunches of bad modules in the early 90s. The modules had correct Voc and Isc but essentially a flat I/V curve. He said he stopped using any Solarex back then because they didn't recall a product with a known and acknowledged

Allan, My beard is pretty gray these days, so I'll bite. Without getting deep into exactly where these modules have degraded to, I think your idea of adding the extra MSX77s is a good one, although it might be a little overkill. Since the customer has them, I would use them. The other
