Mac, I built one a couple of years ago and it works well. The pond it aerates is about 1/3 of an acre. I suppose the system could be scaled up for a larger pond/lake. Mine is pumping about 1CFM. Main components 24V system, about 35 Ah capacity (I might try more capacity next time,
