Friends:
Regarding sideways breakers: I guess it is just that I am accustomed to the
DC cabinet being mounted in a certain way. Many of you make a good point
that this issue does not really matter. This has opened my mind a bit and I
may rotate the DC cabinet.

Wrenches,
In order to provide accurate information about lithium-ion
batteries, I'm looking for referrals to current suppliers with
available product, with specifications and retail pricing available.
Having read Randy Richmond's article on Li-I in HP153 earlier this
Zep Solar has a nice product for sloped roofs, particularly asphalt shingle.
They have 15 or so module manufacturers making panels that are Zep compatible.
The layout takes a little more time and shingles do occasionally need to be
cut, but the lack of rail makes for a very smooth and very
Carl, there are actually 2 (two) Sunny Island AC load output breakers.
One set is in the AC input-output bypass switch and the other are
separate breakers so you can turn off the inverter output.
The Sunny Boy outputs also go through a 2-pole circuit breaker.
What OCPD are you referring to ?
boB,
I see and understand the functionality of the input-output bypass switch
(breakers). The other breaker labeled Sunny Boy(s) Input in the drawing
and labeled Grid Tie Inverter on the unit, seems to provide a single OCPD
for the combined input of the two inverters. The SB 5000 has a maximum
to the GEC size.
