I've been in contact with OB engineering. I'm told that OB is diligently
working on this issue, and that the latest (Mate only) firmware update 1.4.6.
is a specific fix to address only the firmware mismatch issue and nothing else.
It only works for (if it works) the Mate 3s.
If this works,
Folks I have been asked to review a issue w/ this inverter. Solectria PVI 15
DMGI245 S/N 070924-14, 3 ph 480V inverter, 70 Solon Blue 230 Watt modules.
Issue is; the inverter shuts off due towhees 2 messages; “Contactor Fail" or
"AC Contact Open”. Happens more frequently during cloudy weather,

My 2 cents:
After getting over my many years boycott of Schneider due to the legacy of
Xantrex, I finally tried the new XW several years ago, and haven't really
looked back since. They certainly have had their hiccups, and there is a
fair amount of complexity to the programming depending
All our systems except for 2 are GT. We've also swapped cables, mates, hubs
etc...to no avail.
On the other hand, the systems that we installed decades ago with GVFX3648's
are still operating without a glitch.

Hello fellow wrenches!
We have had this issue with a couple of systems and it drove us crazy.
This was for two systems that had been programmed to run in mini grid
mode. After replacing all communication wires with shielded cable,
replacing the mate, replacing hub, replacing guts from both
The XW does not have the stacking cables and is a single 6.8kw inverter.
People have trouble with their CSW 4KW. It is too small for split phase. I
tend to think that XW is the most reliable way to go. Less is more! Agree
Drake! I have so many that just have the defaults running offgrid. Not
Does the 1.4.6 firmware also fix the mate 3S shutdown issue?
One system I’ve got has the mate just blank except for a few minor displays.
But no buttons work etc.
Unplug and replug and it’s all back to normal.
Thanks

It seems that battery based inverters are not nearly as reliable as they
once were. I understand that the Samlex inverters are pretty
bulletproof. They are coming out with a 120/240V split phase to work
with a 48V battery bank. I don't know that these are grid interactive,
or if they can be
I have had this problem, on the job site I had, it was caused by a Wi-Fi router
to close to the equipment. I moved all the Wi-Fi equipment away, and all of my
issues were resolved. The Wi-Fi access point that I used to connect the Mate to
Optics also caused problems.
I tried replacing all of
