I found these photo sensors on Wish for $2.69.
Detection distance is adjustable from 3 to 80cm. Run on 5V supply.
I bought a couple and they work great. Cheap enough to buy a few and play with
them.
I wonder if they will detect the surface of a liquid?

Indeed, spraying cold water on hot modules between the hours of 10A-2P (or
maybe 9A and 3P) is simply foolish.
Now the argument of rain being more dangerous than a cold hose is pretty weak.
If it's raining, the modules are simply not going to be hot!
It would only be an issue if conditions went
I have zero experience with Growatt string inverters, only off-grid, and have
only dealt with dissatisfied customers.
Each inverter requires a separate transformer if you want split phase 240v.
They also seem a bit wimpy on big loads.
But then again - my opinion is worth every penny you have paid

I set the Admin password and promptly failed to write it down.
I can't reset the password to default remotely unless I'm logged in as admin.
I've tried the pinhole reset with no luck.
The manual says to hold the power button 12 seconds; no luck. No beeps either.
Any suggestions?
That would likely happen of the pressure spray were used on the back side of
the modules.
