There is a XW6048 double-stack that has 11,760W PV and gets 8200+ W Output
(in our Texas heat) and creates about 60kwh per day.
That 8/11-ish number is right at 70%. I am sure the early spring will be
better.
I also suggest that 400Ah is the minimum battery bank size required for a
proper sell-
I have used a heat gun, a flat crowbar and long serrated bread knife (I am
sure there is a real tool made the same way).

I just installed my first MMP. I love that box!
I agree that the charge controller bracket is whimpy. Make it from 0.125 or
fold it to make it more rigid.
I did not have trouble with the Torx head screws. I had been using a Milwaukee
M12 Impact Driver and have the big set of bits to go with it
Try SunSaver MPPT.
15 amps, MPPT and load control (or light) control
Use the MSC to connect the controller to your PC and adjust many settings and
get log data.
We use a lot of them and have had very few issues.

A good replacement is the Bogart TM-2025-A. It is a refreshed version of the
TM-2020. It can handle 12-48V and can display Watts.
You can also use the Bogart PentaMetric. It will cost more, since you will

We always put meters on the system. We typically use just pentametric sending
unit and a serial converter with 3 shunts. Then you can hook your PC and get
details on what's going on. I also recommend giving the customer a 60$ DVM like
the ideal brand or an old fluke.

This is my favorite module to install for battery based installations.
This is the single most manufactured module that I can find. They all are
about 31.1 x 62.2 x D and have 35Vmp, 45Voc, etc. The Frame Thickness is the
only variable that I wish they would correct. Some are 35mm, 46mm or 50mm.
My two cents:

Simply replace the GT inverter with a Xantrex 600V Charge Controller plus
the 48V Grid Interactive Inverter of your choice and added battery bank,

will also show fuel usage. There are real saving from running the generator
fewer hours per day and then running it at closer to full when charging the

We have installed about dozen in the last 9 months with no issues. They have
great output and they talk to the XW Gateway, which is great. And you can /
must program them via the SCP or the SCT.
We use a string sizing tool Excel Spreadsheet first written by Richard Perez.
We added a Temp Comp

I think they go back to defaults. Maybe the remote is just not reading the
values before displaying the set point in question after being power cycled.
To get around the issue, all of our inverter installs come with a "free"
remote.
