to provide the widest earthing system.

Mark, I don't care that much about the structure of the utility. But
it's this customer's understanding of utility structure that got me the

center tapped 240 V transformer. The center tap
is grounded, deriving the neutral. Unbalanced
current from the two hot phase conductors return back through the neutral.
