Hi Dave,

Thanks for your help. All options seem to be exhausted with Schneider tech support.

I haven't tried the SCP advanced menu to restore defaults. After I enter that setting should I shut down all DC inputs for 5 minutes, or is that automatic?

Daniel, at tech support, knows of the situation. His is only comment was "interesting."

Is there any chance the problem is in the Gateway itself? Do you think it is possible that power-cycling it again would clear any problems with it.

The Gateway will not reset to its factory defaults. I tried that several times with tech support, and all agreed that it didn't work.

It is good to hear that the config tool should fix it.

Did you try SCP mppt-80 advance settings, enter, scroll all the way down to restore defaults? Assume you did a complete power down of mppt for

weird to me that it shows on SCP and not in gateway. The config tool should fix this. Please let me know off list. I am not on the wrench list much anymore.
You might try tech support again. Do they know the cc works?
Good Luck

Unfortunately no options are provided to do anything, including no option to update the firmware. The Charge controller is completely locked out, cannot be affected in anyway by the Gateway.

The config tool will be the next attempt.

Doesn't the boot loader start after no code runs? Therefore couldn't you attempt to upgrade the CC firmware again? That has worked for me in the past. Sometimes I think Xanbus can be delicate and I'll use the Combox direct to the device being upgraded or use the Setup tool (config tool) direct to the device being updated.

This problem was read from the Gateway on Insight Local. Tech support claimed the CC was bad.

However, the CC is working fine. It shows up on the SCP with no error codes. The only remedy that Schneider is offering is to replace the CC if it is under warranty. It likely is not.

How can a Schneider device be taken out of bootloader mode (if it really is in that mode)? Could it be an error in the Gateway?

Thanks,
