Is anyone else using Sketchup for quick and dirty (yet surprisingly
accurate) shading analyses?
If so, I would be interested in trading notes/tips. I'm particularly
interested in some rules of thumb regarding hard shading impacts during the

If anyone out there is using Sketchup to do solar related layouts,
drawings, or engineering, I have a pretty sizable component library that I
am willing to share/trade. I have not uploaded them to the 3D Warehouse,
and now it would be a bit cumbersome to go back and attach descriptions
I'm using it pretty often, all my proposals are modeled in Sketchup using
Skelion to attach the modules. It helps me determine the best layout and
produce a power rating.
I don't have anything to trade though.
