We use a Verizon Jet Pack for our internet. It wants to have its battery charged and then be unplugged, like any cell phone. Is there a variety that can be left plugged in? Charging could be set up to be intermittent with a timer switch. Drake _Drake Chamberlin_ _Athens Electric LLC_

Wrenches I have used Verizon cellular modems, looks the same works the same just pay for data mine was 25 per month 2 year contract, very simple, I plugged in both the blueplanet battery's and outback mate and there we had it. I'm sure all the carriers have the same thing. Fun times On Mon, Jun

Mick, I'll vouch that the Victron solution works great. You need a GSM carrier, TMobile works as well as others, AT for one. The GSM piece is important, Verizon won't work with this. Another approach is to do a Mifi box with Verizon, then just use it as a wireless hotspot like any WiFi network.

Hi, Mechanix~ Web portals such as Optics-RE make for easy well-baby visits for off gridders. The prospective customers that I met yesterday aren't here full time so they may not want to commit $1200/year on satellite internet service, but the Verizon 4G signal is strong at the homesite. Which
