power. Presently the max number of 3 phase you can stack is one using the master slave, however this has changed I think. Darryl --- On Thu, 12/31/09, Nik Ponzio npon...@buildingenergyus.com wrote: From: Nik Ponzio npon...@buildingenergyus.com Subject: [RE-wrenches] dual stacked inverters

Colleagues: We have an 8 stack Outback system on a three phase off-grid application. This works because the entire plant is using only two phases of an open-delta wired generator system, the phases being on the opposite end of the center tapped generator windings. We provide 120/240 feeds.

Nik, 120/208 has a 120 degree phase angle between legs, same as three-phase but you only have two legs. Check with Outback tech support, but I believe the GTFX inverter can only be stacked in systems with 120/240 split phase (180 degrees between legs). If there are no 208 loads, just unplug

Nik, Since you cannot operate 2 inverters in a 3 phase mode, they will need to operate independently, so don't try to sync them. Operate both independently. if the building is set up for 120/208 there is not 240 anyway. You could stack them in 120V synchronized and connected across a
