All,
I have an old customer who wants to do multiple upgrades to their system. Is
there any minimum PV array upgrade required for the entire BOS upgrade cost
be eligible for the Fed tax credit? I don't think there is.

Jonathan,
Close to half of the systems that we installed that I previously spoke
of using the Federal Tax Credit used batteries. I believe if they are
installed as part of the initially installed system that they qualify as
just that and receive the full 30%.

Todd,
See IRC sections 25D and also 136 if there is a utility paid incentive, as any utility paid incentivemay affect how 25D is applied.
You may also want to see Sections 280A(d)(1), 280A(d)(2), and 280A(f)(1) for the definitions.

Can any say for sure if the cost of batteries qualifies for the fed tax credit? No one seems to have a clue.

Stange but true...many of my customers are claiming the credit for their RV PV
solar system and a few have reported back: no problems. For some, the motorhome
or trailer is their primary residence but for most it is just used part time.

Wrenches,
I got the following information from a customer who ran the federal tax credit
by her accountant. As a double check... is this correct?
Thanks,

Hi All..just wanted to see if any of you have been having success with

I think we can assume that the $1500 cap listed is a mistake. However, I seem
to recall reading an early PR of the expected new laws and it said that you
could take the FULL cost of system to calc the 30% and other incentives (State,
City and Utility) would not be deducted allowing for a double
