Butterscotch Apple Cake Recipe

 

Be swept away by a taste like this

 

INGREDIENTS:

 

1 cup vegetable oil

2 eggs

2 cups sugar

2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 teaspoon cinnamon

3 large apples, peeled, cored, and chopped

1 (6-ounce) package butterscotch chips

 

TO PREPARE:

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Thoroughly mix oil, eggs,

and sugar. Sift flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda,

and cinnamon; blend with egg mixture. Batter will be

very thick. Stir in apples. Pour into an ungreased

9- by 13-inch pan. Sprinkle with butterscotch chips.

Bake for 45 to 60 minutes. Cool thoroughly.

Cut into approximately 3-inch squares.
