Here is another example of the inate racism existing at all levels of
Australian society.

If a non-Indigenous person was before his court, Judge Shanahan would not
have said, "this sort of behaviour would damage not only him, but also his
community."-----why should his community be damaged by Costelloe's
behaviour-----would members of Judge Shanahan's community  be damaged if he
transgressed?

We sure have a long way to go, especially with people like Howard and his
gang pulling us backwards for their own political gain.
