Have you tried a big stick? ;)
If the boss just needs to see it in situ, you can always set up a separate
project variant with it's own publication target. This will let you publish out
draft content somewhere that people can review it.

Hi Dmitry, Emily
Thanks for the responses.
The content blocks within the page are only connected to this container. I've
tried disconnecting and reconnecting the content block; I've tried deleting and
adding a brand new block... so I'd be fairly happy saying it's not related to
the linking/app
I've seen that message all too many times in the past. As Andreas says,
normally it will happen when you import a project from another server where the
users are missing on the new system. It can also happen when your Reddot

Hi Gavin
The only other way I can think of to clean things up is to create a copy of
your content class, remove any of the unwanted placeholders and then swapping
the content classes being used by your pages/content. I'm not sure if this will
actually be of any benefit to you though as it will

Rumour has it that there's supposed to be a hotfix to resolve the
preassignment issue in the next week or so

That assumes that your dev project has the same content. In my
experience Dev projects slowly devolve into "Test page 1", "Test page
2" ;)
The easier way to migrate just the changes you want is to create a
blank page in your DEV project called Export. This page needs to have
a list on it
Actually... I'd have to disagree.
When you're first starting out, things are confusing as the official
training courses give you a very basic, but certainly not necessarily
the best, way of building a project. They need to teach you too much
to cover the most efficient way of putting togeth
There's also the undocumented ability to add folder names/paths into
the page name field for each page, which can come in handy when you're
dealing with the limited publication options in Navigation Manager
projects :)

Hi Nitin
If you talk to your local RedDot account manager, or support team they
should be able to supply you with them. As far as I'm aware, that
particular plugin has always been a separate installation btw.
thanks

He'd only be using a media placeholder if he was uploading the JS file
as a media asset. As he's created it as a content class he will need
to use an anchor

Ahhh this is a common issue. When you're working in smartEdit RedDot
looks for the tag so it can place some reddot code in there
for the dots. If it can't find the body tag, it helpfully adds it for
you as it adds in it's own code... instantly invalidating your code
and causing all sorts
To just get the parent pages up the tree for a breadcrumb trail, you
need to look at the settings you have set for this template under
Navigation Areas. To just bring back the pages for the breadcrumb
trail you need to have the template set to display "all levels" and
"Selected" pages. W
You need to be extra careful when replacing content classes. When you
are doing the mapping of fields, anything that doesn't exist in the
new template is deleted. Permanently.

If you do decide to try replacing any images, make sure you keep a
backup of your files as they may be overwritten next time you do an
upgrade

Stop me if I'm wrong (this is all from memory as I don't currently
have Reddot access!), but isn't what you're doing here importing a
copy of all your templates from the parent project into the new
project rather than inheriting the templates? This is how we migrated
templates from our dev
