Hi,
one of our customers wanted to have the Management Server V11 SP1 installed
on a German Windows Server 2008 R2. They did a lot of tries without
success. We had a look at the server today and tested the installation but
it breaks with a failure in the Configuration Utility. We get the failure
that the assembly System.Configuration.resources.dll is not found. This
happens because .NET looks in the wrong directory (with locale "de-de"
instead of just "de" which is used by the Language Pack).

I am wondering why the ConfigurationUtility needs the German resources
instead of being fine with the English one. I am not sure if this is an
error in the Management Server or .NET 4 itself.

My main question is: Is this never be tested in the QA?

The question to this group: Has anyone installed MS V11 SP1 (with or
without the newest hotfix) successfully on a non-English Windows Server
2008 R2?

Thanks,
Hilmar
