I have a few pages that are linking to an asset and this asset needs
to be renamed. I noticed that there is no way to do this in Asset
Manager (we are on version 9). Could I please get confirmation of this
or maybe I am missing something? Also this is in fact not possible in
Asset Manager (

I didn't find any option to rename an image within the asset manager.
If the amount of pages that use the image is very big, you could write
a small plugin, that does the job or -to be more precise- assigns the
same image with a different filename to the placeholders.

We've done this by doing a project Find and Replace from {folder
GUID}\oldname.pdf to {folder GUID}\newname.pdf.

I have since then done it manually but it is likely that more are in the way
