Hi Fred,
I strongly recommend spending some time with training manuals and/or
help before you go too much further. RedDot is an Enterprise CMS and
that means you can make a mess fast!
If you are starting a project from scratch you will find that a solid
foundation and design is very important
How does 1 achieve this using RedDot's Template Editor? I have
extensive HTML and CSS knowledge, so no problem there. Just when I
choose Anchor as the placeholder type, there is no option to choose
the page I want to link to, and same thing happens when I choose Info
as the placeholder type.
This is RedDot 101 :-)
Once you've created a template with an Anchor placeholder, you can
create instances of that template ('pages' in RD terminology). An
instance will then allow you to edit the value for that specific
Anchor. You can either 'connect' a page, if you want the link to
target

page called Benefits under a content class called Non-Homepage. I
created an Anchor placeholder in the template for Homepage and
You're looking at the templates (within content classes) which are
just the structural 'building blocks' for actual end pages. If you
open up the 'Administer Project Structure' node, you're then looking
at instances ('pages') built from those templates. You might have a
very sparse tree if this
OMG I do not believe it; it actually works!
Thanks a lot! You've ended about a full day's worth of
experimentation!
