hi all,
I am trying to read a binary file of size (8192 * 116) bytes on RH
linux 6.2 using system call read(). In Chunks of 8192 bytes. It reads fine
for a couple of times but at certain times it fails at 8180th byte, also
what would happen if 8180th byte is NULL.
Can any one help me why

Ah! That was the missing information. The genhdlist program is now
only hidden in an rpm : anaconda-runtime.

people maybe remember that in the days of rh5.x, there was a problem with
shutting the machine down properly. That was solved with the inclusion
of the flag '-p' at the command 'halt' in the file /etc/inittab.
