Some things you might try:
1) Can box3 ping box1? are you sure you have a route to box3? See what
'netstat -r' tells you.
2) Are you sure that box3 is allowed to mount it? If box1's IP is something
like 192.168.1.100 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, does your
/etc/exports

Can I configure my sub-agents with this master agent? i.e. external
