It used to be that removing (renaming) the /home/me/.gnome directory would

I assume that you are using KDE as your desktop environment. In that case, you
have to right-click on the icon of the 'master' menu (to the left side of the
bottom menu bar - it seems like it has a red hat icon in your system) and then
choose the "Menu editor" option.

When i was using Linux RH7.1/RH7.2 or Mandrake 9.0
it was autmetically detected by linux
but now i am getting prob.
