I have downloaded jre-1_4_1_02-fcs-linux-i586.rpm from java.sun web
site. I have installed and everything seems ok. Now I need to install
LimeWire, but it asks me for VM installation.. I use netscape 7.02 and
in plugin list no mention about VM.. what i have to do?

Hi,
can someone guide through configuring emu10k1? i have installed
emu-tools, added to /etc/modules.conf the line alias sound emu10k1, but
when i try to do modprobe emu10k1 i get error msg like
lib/modules/2.4.18-24.8.0/kernel/drivers/sound/emu10k1/emu10k1.o:
init_module: No such device

I use gnome 2.0, but i would like to install kde 3.1. I found it on a
cdrom , there were 18 tarfiles, i have used command tar to extract those
files into /tmp directory.. now when i access from console the main
package (which should be kde-i18n-3.1) and execute ./configure i get an
error msg

Hi,
i have an external isdn modem (Tintoretto from Digicom) and it's linked
to a com port. I was not able to install it and to configure an internet
connection, when I try to use the hardware browser the window collapses.
I have a rh 8.0 and using gnome. How can I do?

I've installed Linux rh 8.0 in a system where I have also 2 partitions
with xp professional. I have problems in booting Linux maybe because it'
beyond the 1024 cylinder, and it's bootable only with diskette, but in
console mode due probably to my video card a geforce 4 MMX 64 Mb ddr.

I installed linux rh 8.0 and i have a ati radeon 9500, but I choose
(since I had no other choice) driver for 9700.. then everything was good
but the screen was abnormally put on the right, so I tried to change the
