I upgraded my DNS from Bind 8 to Bind 9.2.1. I have a CNAME for my
domain name to one of the A record like this:
mydomain.com INCNAMEwww.mydomain.com
The new Bind rejects this and would not load my zone. Any idea how
this is done with the new Bind ?
Thanks...
the dot (.) at the end grin grin
it should be - my.domain.com.
2. see the changelog for BIND 9.2.1. I think - if the resource file is for
mydomain.com, then you should write it this
way:
. INCNAMEwww.mydomain.com.

with another SMC 9432 and still could not ping anything. I wonder

I have a DNS at home using RH 7.2 with reverse lookup for my single static

At work I have the same situation, we have two ISP's. ISP1
I recently upgraded my RH7.2 kernel to 2.4.17 and modified my lilo.conf to
have option to run on the old and new kernel. However when I removed the
old kernel in my lilo.conf it still shows up when I boot up and can still
actually boot up. Anyone has info on how I can fix this.
