My problem is that I can´t send a list command in ftp.
Every time I do this I get the error messages:
500 Illegal PORT Command
500 Can´t build data connection: no port specified
I tried to set the ftp-client in passiv mode but it doesn´t help.

I´ve a problem. I compiled my new kernel with ipmasquerading for use as
gateway/firewall. When I now try to open a ftp-connection from one of my
clients I get the connection to the server, can login, but then don´t
get a data-connection when I want to see the directory of the server.

Thanks for help with my kernel.
After trying and trying and getting stupid I killed my system and
reinstalled it. Then I installed the rpm´s for the kernel-2.0.33 and
configured it. NOW IT WORKS!!! (don´t know what it was).
