Comcast connectivity

I am trying to connect a redhat 7.3 box to comcast. My windows box connects right up with no extra information like hostname etc. All the info I find about comcast says you have to have the hostname, but in this area you don't need one. Can anyone help me? Thanks, Brad -- redhat-list mail
