line or a logon line?

Hello all,
I have install RH9 with xmms-mpg123, my sound works, I can play mp3's and wav's. I also have the sound cable hooked up from the cdrom to the sound card. When I play a cd it looks like it is playing but I don't hear any sound. This machine is a duel eboot to XP and the cdplayer
I just testing to see if anyone can see my post.

I am having all kinds of wire(bugy) problems with the
redhat sound system. It won't play the wav when Gnome
starts up. It will play the logoff wav but not the
logon wav. I am having other problems with the sound
as well but I figure if I could solve this one, it
would solve the rest..
That system you have at home. Is that a redhat system?

Can anyone tell me why their is no sound in the Mahjongg game that came with RH8.0 and yet their is plenty of different sounds with the Mahjongg game that came with RH7.2. I think I am having a sound problem.

Can anyone tell me why I am not getting any sound in
the Chromium game. I am also not getting any sound
when I play mahjongg either. I use to have sound in
RH7.0 Now that I have install RH8 I am not. Sound
works with all other multimedia.
Any help is appreciated.
