well, yours was a simpler/better solution. i did it a little bit harder:
for some reason (i still haven't quite figured out), the
InterBaseC_LI-V7.0.0-1.i386.rpm that comes from borland's ibase/linux v7

hi arden, gordon, et al,
i tried out several shell books (including o'reilly), but the one i kept
and keep using is below. chock full of examples (for bash) and
task-oriented -- i.e., "how to do x" (and an example).. "how to do y"
(and another example) etc etc. in fact, i have to keep stealing

redhat simply doesn't set this flag. why not?
and why would this be a larger and more general php community issue?
am i missing something obvious? thanks..

would it be possible for interbase support to be included in the php rpm
dist'd with rh8.1?
this topic was apparently discussed earlier on this list:

wrt rh7.3, but ibase support didn't get added in to rh8.0.
(mime.types file) from the
start.

PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata an
is 'mv.exe'. If you left-click on it, using Netscape for
Win95, you should get a 'Save-As' dialog box. It should NOT cat
the executable to your screen. The reason you're getting this
correct behavior is because I've added the above line to my
/etc/mime.types file.
