Any thoughts/experiences on the following:
I upgraded Enlightment to 0.16 and everything worked fine except... the
Netscape Mail reader would crash upon launching. I could use Netscape
Browser, Mail Manager, even Compose new message, but the Reader itself
would immediately crash upon l

There are a few parallel port scanners that are supported, but many more
SCSI scanners. Not all the drivers are created equal, either, some are
much more developed than others, the Umax driver seems furthest along.

Printers? HP makes a cute black one that seems designed for notebooks, and
is somewhat portble. If portability is not an issue, but price is, go for
a lower-end inkjet printer by HP, Cannon or Epson, as they can be

I just installed an Adaptec 2930U and it seems to work fine, using the aic7xxx.o
driver module.. It has a scanner and a SCSI Zip drive connected to it at present,
and is quite stable. You have pay attention to the type of scanner you use, since
not all are supported by SANE.

I am able to use monospaced fonts (eg. courier) in StarOffice5.1, but
I have installed a zillion True Type fonts on my system, and StarOffice
sees all of them. Why not obtain some monospaced True Type fonts and do
that?
