I'm trying to make the output of a script visible through snmp. In the /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf file i commented out this line: exec echotest /bin/echo hello ...and then restarted the snmpd. Then from another system i tryied this: snmpwalk address.of.snmp.server public ...and this: snmpwalk address.of.snmp.server public system ...but none of these commands showed me "echotest" or the result of the echo test. What's wrong? How can pull the results of some shell scripts through snmp from another system? ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com?sr=mc.mk.mcm.tag001 -- To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
