Hi,
Just curious what others set their customers' mailbox policies as (ie,
can't go over 5 meg, or don't keep email past 6 months).
Also, what tools you may use to remove 'old' articles, if you set a date
limit on them.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi all,
Running redhat 5.0, and get this silly Memory Exhasted error, whenever I
run who. I have plenty of memory, so I figure it is buggy somewhere.
Anyone else have this problem, and have been able to fix it?
Thanks,
Mike

In your /etc/sendmail.cf file, you should have a line like the following:

In your cas though, it probally reads:
O MaxMessageSize=500

Hello,
We just upgraded our mail server to redhat 5.0. And, everything is just
great (save for building a version of BIND 4.9.7, because of that security
deal)
Anyway...Everything is working fine, with the major exception of the
virtual emails.
When running the command line:
sendmail -bv [EMAI
Just curious if anyone out there is using EXIM (http://www.exim.org), as a
MTA.
A fellow Sys admin is thinking about moving to it, and if anyone out there
has had any experience with it, I would like to know the pros and cons you
have found with it.
Thanks,

I am trying to find out if it is possible to just upgrade specific RPMs
from Redhat 5.0 to my 4.2 machine, without having to do an upgrade, which
takes the machine down, longer then I would like to take it down for.
When I try, it will tell me there are dependancies.
And then when you try to add

Hi,
I was recently sent a perl script that came from a windows machine.
It wouldn't run as it was, so I opened it up in vi to see what was wrong,
and I noticed at the bottom that it said the file was in [TEXTMODE].
Well, never seeing that before, I looked to see if I could change the mode
some
Scratch that, found my problem. Just stick a conical hat on my head and
stick me in the corner...hehe

Hi,
I just have installed Redhat 5 on a intel machine, and nfs will not boot
up.
This is what happens when I try to boot it:
# ./nfs start
Starting NFS services: rpc.mountd Cannot register service: RPC: Unable to
receive; errno = Connection refused
rpc.nfsd Cannot register service: RPC: Unable
