I haven't used a Tungsten, but here are a few common tasks that need to
be done on a standard RedHat install to sync a palm:
1. create a symlink for /dev/pilot pointing to the port your pilot is
connected to. For COM1 it's:
$ ln -s /dev/ttys0 /dev/pilot #(for serial)
$ ln -s /dev/ttyUSB
of dns record to return at the end of dig.
