it in Linux by way of using
an automated script? I used kppp and I was able to download the data. I
need to do the same thing in a non-interactive, automated mode.

Listener is a
demon process that receives requests for connections over TCP/IP .
I was worried about error in the startup script. So I copied the file
from the server where it was running fine. Still I observe the same
behavior.
Any idea?

When I try to connect using wvdial, the modem responds and wvdial
connects. But minicom keeps giving me No Connection: Timeout when I
