Recently, I loaded RH 8.0; this is the downloaded
version. Frequently, I access a Sun Solaris 2.8
system via telnet, and use the command line for
everything, however, I would like to use a Solaris
package that has a graphical front end. I use
commands that work between Solaris systems, but don't
work between Linux and Solaris. These commands are:

Linux: xhost +sol28 (sol28 is the Solaris system)
Linux: telnet sol28
sol28: setenv DISPLAY (ip address):0.0
sol28: (sol28 program name)

The (sol28 program name) doesn't support the -display
option. Instead of getting the graphical output, as I
do between Sun systems, I see "Unable to open X
display". I created a Linux user and password to
match the sol28 user/password, but I don't know what
else to try.

Any thoughts anybody?
