Hi,
I am trying to put redhat 7.0 on my Laptop.
On boot up it recognizes my pcmcia socket service and ethernet card as an
3com 3c589.
When I try to set it up under linux config there is no choice for this card.
Can anyone help me.

of the computers, it has 3.2
Gig 's of data to backup.
Whenever the backup program gets to about 2.2 gigs, it says the disc is full.
It is not even close.
Is this some sort of limitation with samba?

which consists of two win 98 machines.
I set up Samba and everything works fine except when i try to transfer
this one large file which is about 800 megs. It basically freezes my
system about 75% through the transfer and I

I am trying to use my atapi tape drive with RedHat 6.2
If I issue the command mt -f /dev/nht0 rewind nothing happens
with the command mt -f /dev/nht0 erase it says input and output error
the only command that works is retension.
Can anyone offer any suggestions.

Is there any email program in Linux that will let you have seperate accounts
for different email address's.
ie. One account for rknebel@uplink and one account for

linux from system commander I get LIL and
thats it.
It boots fine from the boot floppy I made during the install.
i installed LILO on the ist partition which was the root partition which is 1000M.
I have never had this problem before installing redhat.

i installed redhat 6.2 and set up IP masquerading the exact same way I did
with 6.0 and 6.1 and it will not work.
My two other computers will not connect to the internet through my linux
box. i can ping them though.

I installed helix-gnome which really looks good.
Unfortunately whenever I try to run xscanimage now I get this error message
xscanimage: error in loading shared libraries: libgimp.so.1: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory

When I installed I made a swap partition of 250 Megs, but it seems that
linux is only showing 130 Megs.
Is there a reason for this?
