Hi again,
I know this might be a bit off topic, but I was wondering if anyone has the
specification on a Stardent 19" monitor. Stardent was a workstation
manufacturor a couple of years back. The monitor is actually made by SONY,
but because it was made for Stardent they don't have any
Ok,
This provides a lot of information on the problem, but for slow people like
me - I don't see how I can actually fix the problem on my machine. Any
takers???

I have a quick question. When compiling a program how do you change what
libraries Make is looking for. For example if you have
-lpng which looks for libpng.so.0 how do you change that to look for
libpng.so.2? Thanks in advance.

Hi again,
I have a question concerning SRPMs. I have not been able to get any of them
to work. I have read the man pages and it states to install a package use
rpm -bi package name. Well, I have tried that (and different variations
on it) and I always get the same message:

Hi again,
I am reposting this question as the last one doesn't seem to have hit the
list. The problem I am having is with some of the gnome apps. Apps like

The first question is whether or not I should upgrade to Bind 8.0 (what

Secondly - I am having trouble setting up Bind 4.0. I get

Thanks for the reply,

would suggest memory problems. I have used this particular system setup
while I was running Slackware and did not have this particular problem
